1. Like WHOA Workout

I did this exercise routine on Wednesday. When I originally reblogged it I wrote “Love this!” That was of course before actually doing the routine. It is a great workout, don’t get me wrong, I felt great getting through it. But the leg lifts alone were enough to kill me. I almost gave up so many times during that portion. Telling myself, I’ll just go for a run. Just go for a run? I never say that to myself. I have to mentally prepare myself for a run. But I was ready to do anything over doing another leg lift. It also made the middle part of my lower back really sore. Not the kind of sore you get in your muscles from a good workout. It’s more like the kinda sore you get from being on your feet for too long. It actually really hurts. I have a sciatica injury and it didn’t effect that at all. Weird. I don’t know if I will be doing that many leg lifts again. Maybe I should have put a pillow down or something?

On to the abs. Holy crap what an ab workout. My abs are still sore. Like really sore. The kinda sore you get from a good workout. Every time I sneeze, laugh, cough, anything that constricts your abs muscles, it is the most painful thing ever. But they do feel tighter. Worth it? Unclear at this time.

The completion of the entire workout including the 11 min run took me just about two hours. I took a very long time getting through the leg lifts. Laying on the floor, staring at the ceiling, questioning why anyone would do this to themselves, pushing myself to continue. Sometimes I feel like I am my own boot camp drill sergeant.

Overall, I am really happy to have completed the workout. It made me feel good about myself. I just crossed my legs and was reminded of how sore my legs are. But I’ve been this sore before. It passes. Let me know if you attempt the workout. I would love the hear how it worked out for you. No pun intended. Really. ;)

When I have a few hours to kill I might give this a try, and then maybe do it again in a few months to track my fitness...
